One of the concerning world issues that is currently affecting the economy and us is piracy. And not just any pirates but the pirates only from a particular region known as ‘Somalia’. These pirates are a bunch of armed Somalian gang members who attack and hijack unguarded container ships that pass through their seas and demand ransom for their release. They are sort of like terrorists but in a much different way, they don’t hijack to kill people but only for money, unlike terrorists they never harm or kill the crew unless forced, actually the released crew members report that they were treated with good respect and were provided with sumptuous food. So why do such polite engage themselves in such illegal activity its simple, its their country’s situation that forces them, poverty, unemployment, death due to hunger and civil wars are the main reasons for indulgence in such activities. But of course I am trying to justify their acts, but simply say, instead of spending millions of money for ransom and protection of the ships, even half of that money if used in the right way will be enough to solve the core problem of these terrorized people.
